VIC My New - Skoda vRS 2007 - VAG cable madness

Hi, I'm loving my new Skoda 2007 vRS Wagon. Nice car!
The first upgrade I'm attempting is SAT/NAV Columbus, handsfree bluetooth. I purchased the Columbus from ebay (Lithuania) new latest LED display (model L), fascia to suit from UK, bluetooth from Germany.
It's mostly working perfectly, however I believe I need to re-activate some of the features within the Columbus, like reversing and climate control being displayed. Also the voice activation is not working thru the Dension bluetooth mic.
I'm a software developer so I'm pretty confident this should be easy for me...
I started ordering VAG cables from ebay china etc.. the first one didn't work, just couldn't get the drivers install for USB -> COM port. I'm now waiting on a second version from china, it's been over a month now and still no sign.
I just order a 3rd cable today (another $30 with 3 day shipping).

I'm hoping that I will not need the help from a Dealership (eg. VW Frankston as they gave me no joy when trying to order the fascia to match the new SAT/NAV).

Anyhow, if there's anyone local in my area VIC Frankston with VAG coding experience willing to help I'd much appreciate it.
