Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • GTI Pirelli Brisbane

    Hi All

Recently sold a Lotus Elise which I could no longer drive due to injury.
Have picked up an 08 GTI Pirelli which according to my new mechanic has been tuned up.
Am interested in driving for the pleasure of driving so weekend drives and the occasional track day (if ****head free) are my cup of tea.
Have never owned a VW Group vehicle so everything is new to me thergoe would also be keen to speak with other owners of similar cars to learn more about my new steed.

    Aaron.

You could log the boost and tell if it's been tuned/

I've done Happy Laps before with the Lotus Club and it's always been a good vibe. I just missed out on the next VW day but hopefully there's a cancellation and I can sneak in.

I used to send invites to the lotus club but we only got Lindsey and the Matt P who would come out with us.
We usually have 2 or 3 withdrawals so you are likely to get a shot at it.

Worst case you could just come out and passenger
