VIC MKVI GTI manual nearing end of warranty

Just wondering if anyone else has encountered pressure plate problems (slight noise) with their GTI?
Mine has been diagnosed with a faulted pressure plate and will be replaced under warranty. Made me wonder what, if any other problems people have been having with the MKVI GTI and whether I should have them looked at prior to my warranty expiring.

Not much goes wrong on the MK6s. Camshaft adjustment valve & recirculation valve can leak abit of oil, intake manifolds are prone to failure. But other than that, no real issues.
