They are as rare as rocking horse ***** over here. You could probably count them on one hand.
If you are looking at making lots of money importing it to sell then forget it. You won't make up what it cost you to buy it and import but as a personal car that's different and admired by the VW crowd then I'd say go for it.
Mechanical parts shouldn't be a problem once it's here but anything bodywise you need to get from the USA, Europe or UK.
If you don't bring it your only option for old watercooled VW's here are MK1 and MK2 Golfs. You'll need to build one up because there aren't many modified ones that people sell unless they want big dollars. A MK1 4 door with 1.8 turbo recently went for $8000 and a pretty standard MK2 4 door (we don't have many 2 door MK2's here) goes for around $2500.

hi Paul ive been in Brizzie 3yrs im a permanent reso .I was going to go back but haven't bothered lol..my car is with my aunty at the mo in wales spent loads on it and its in really good nick ,I don't know wether to get her to sell it or how much it would cost to ship out.
