Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    VW R32 golf and T5 multi van owner

    Hey guys,

    I'm new to VW watercooled, just letting you know a bit about myself.
    I work as a car stereo installer in Melbourne and currently own a 2011 R32 Golf
    and a 2005 T5 multi van. Always been a massive fan of VW and joining this forum has been
    long overdue.

    I'm always putting the latest and greatest audio/entertainment gear into my
    cars. For example the new Alpine 8" screen in the Golf (looks great), with full Hertz
    sound system.

    If anyone has any questions or needs any advice regarding car entertainment please
    don't hesitate to ask me as it's my passion.

    2011? do you mean an R? the mk6s lost the 32 sorry mate

    Im looking at putting some speakers into my charade. Probably go for two 6x9s (2 or 3 way?) and two 6s, plus a head unit. dont want cheap ****, but would love to spend under 200 bucks. possible?
