My question relates to the stock USB port under the climate controls. Based on the research i have done this is a "carplay enabled" USB port. I want to be able to use this with the Alpine...

I am trying to see if there is a way to use the factory shark fin antenna on Golf MK6 as a DAB antenna for aftermarket headunits.

The only kit I could see is the Alpine solution: KAE-DAB1G6

Recently purchase an 08 Jetta, black 2.0TDI with 6sp dsg 140,000kms
Iv'e already changed out the factory headunit for an alpine and amp.
Replaced the factory rims with mk6 GTD rims and new falken azenis fk510's.
Replacing stock front speakers with focal PS 165V1's in...

Did install myself. Did not install a line converter as the Alpine MRV-M500 has speaker level inputs, I tapped into the front speakers only, will tap into the rears too at a later date.

Excuse the untidy wiring. Will clean it up one day!...
