1998 VW Golf MKIII 2.0 five speed. Car makes a noise like a CV joint louder on the left but seems to also be on the right. Took it to the mechanic and he desnt feel any play. Makes noise in a straight line and when turning. Makes no noise on a lift or after being parked for a while. Can drive the car for a day with no noise or 10 minutes. Seems worse with ambient road heat.

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
