howdy,
i have a 2007 (MY08 up grade) passat TDI DSG wagon, over 120,000 k's serviced a VW centre it's whole life, the Mechtronic unit in the transmission went and also the injectors and wiring loom has been replaced and now the air con is playing up! whats next?

Hi - unfortunately the issues you have mentioned with your Passat are all quite common issues.

- Mechatronic brain for the DSG gearbox is a common issue (and one of the reasons i chose a manual).
- Injectors and associated wiring loom for the 125kw TDI engine are also a common issue and are often replaced even after new car warranty has expired.
- A/C compressor. A family friend had a Passat of around your cars vintage and his A/C compressor failed also.

Hopefully, being a 2007/2008 model, most of these issues would have been taken care of with the new car warranty?
