Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Hi from Racing Logic

    Hi Guys,
I'm looking to replace one of my cars with a MK6 GTI and looking for info on mods and how you like them. I am the Australian distributor for Racing Logic coilovers and need to get a feel for the Euro market and what better way than get myself a GTI. I have a few friends with them (some of them are on here like Omee) but I need convince myself that I don't need another evo or sti.
Cheers guys, I look forward to seeing what the GTI world has got.
    Jon

    Welcome mate.
The GTI is a very competent vehicle.
They do well with a tune and suspension tweak.

You should join us on some of our event (especially happy laps) to see just how well they go.

      Welcome to the forum Jon.

IMHO VW do a pretty good job with their standard suspension. If you have any plans to get more power, suspension mods should be on your list.

        Welcome Jon, I see you're n vwgolf.net.au as well!

Be good if you can stick your head in at our next meet (16th March @ Newstead) where you can see plenty of golfs and have a great chat to some very knowledgable people. Check the events threads!
