WA Soon to welcome an R32 into the garage!

Hi all,

Just a quick intro from me. Was certain my next car was going to be a MY11 WRX until I drove one. Then I jumped in a new GTI and knew I wanted a quality built car. A few days later I spotted a great deal on Carsales for a 2008 R32 and later this week she will be making her way to Perth from Tassie.

Anyway, will be lurking here a fair bit and will no doubt see the Perth lads around the traps from time to time.

Have you driven an R32? What did you think of the new GTI? I have to agree, the VW quality is definitely a step above the Jap machines.

Yes, but was several years ago. I spent 15 mins in a GTI a few weeks back and then hopped into the WRX and my choice was easy. Really liked the new GTI but wait times on new VW's are terrible (and I'm not a patient man), so pre-loved was the only way to go for me. Turn's out I still need to be patient.

...and it has arrived!! 2 days earlier than expected, none the less. Driving it home from the depot (via work to show off) before giving her a nice bath has been a great way to end the day! Such a pleasure to drive coming from a 2.0L Mazda 3 and the exhaust sound.....fwoar.....simply amazing. Surprisingly quick too. My mate who drove me to the Depot has a 2008 M3 and said it wasn't easy keeping up. Keep an eye out for me if you are in Perth. The Tassie plates should be a give away.

More than makes up for the $100 I blew on the cup today. haha
