AFAIK there is a decent period where you can drive on the old plates.
After all, what happens with people driving over on holidays....

when you are holidays, you are still registered and an owner in your homestate, who pick up the insurance tab

you won't see ours on the road soon...it's getting wheeled into the garage as a "Sunny day" car only. Rego to look for is MYR 032. Tinting is a dead give away on ours................
