Hi All
After much research I’ve recently purchased a 2007 Multivan Highline 4Motion with very low kms (24,000kms) in immaculate ‘as new’ condition. The additional stuff that came with were the factory sunroof, hill hold function, sports suspension, rear carpet mat and a genuine VW towbar. It had also had the oil cooler replaced under the factory ‘campaign’.
All up, very happy with the van and looking forward to being able to separate the three boys from each other on both short and long trips. It’s the first VW I’ve owned since driving around in an old 1971 Beetle many years ago.
On the highway trip home it used 8 litres per 100km at about 110km/h. I was pleasantly surprised by the power and economy but it was only carrying me with no luggage. I also didn’t realise that the tyres were slightly under inflated until I got home so it will be interesting to see what the economy will be on future highway runs.
In doing all the research before deciding to buy a Multivan I searched this website a number of times and it’s a very useful source of information and has helpful links to other sites such as the Brickyard. Virtually all of the questions I had were already answered somewhere within the website.
Other vehicles that we currently own are a dual fuel VY Commodore wagon (now the small car) and a couple of motorcycles – Buell X1 and a trials bike.
Also up for sale now is the car that the Multivan replaced a very well kept 2004 Subaru Forester XT.
Regards
