NSW Tigaun MY11 Week 22

Howzit,

We bought a new Tiguan 125 this weekend and the dealer indicated that they will only place the order in week 22. Not sure if this will then be a MY11. He indicated that from week 22 new interior and I am not sure if this will include the facelift?

Not sure if any of the members have any more news?

Delivery will be end of August, a bit of a wait!

Week 22 sounds like it will be a My11.

I know they updated the interior lighting for the My10 so the My11 could be similar.
There is no news of a facelift for My11, only that 7 speed dsg will be the auto instead of the old slushbox = failure for towing and potentially offroading.

Proposed facelift for My12 but the only thing we have seen is the CDM Tig.

Tig my 2011

My first post so I don't have much idea what I'm doing.

Anyway, I ordered my Tig last month and delivery is scheduled for 30/10/2010 :-S.
In addition to the known changes in the instruments (white illumination) and gearbox (DSG) I know about the following changes:
- The climate control: I'm not sure if it's the same as the Golf VI or Passat CC (maybe they are all the same);
- Steering wheel: the same as the Golf VI with voice activated commands (in US they have gear shift option );
- Rear tinted windows were cancelled as an option (I like it but had to cancel from my order);
- Bluetooth can now be ordered as factory fitted option I have already included in my order ));
- "4 Motion" badge on tailgate

Actually I believe some cars are already arriving with these changes but according to the dealer (Camberwell) the official SOP for MY2011 is first week of June (wk23). So Gerrieb, you may not get DSG on your Tig.

As far as I know, there are no changes to the exterior but the badge.

Forgot to mention that the German version will have "Keyless Entry" as an option. Not sure if it will be available for Australia.

Actually, I think keyless entry option was on the list of changes for the new model year for Australia I sa a few weeks ago. Could be mistaken, but I remember something like that ....

Spoke to a VW dealer and they are not sure of the 'keyless entry'

I saw this on a American website:

2010 Volkswagen Tiguan: There are only minimal changes for the 2010 Volkswagen Tiguan. All trim levels get an upgraded touchscreen audio interface and a revised instrument cluster. SE and SEL models get standard Bluetooth connectivity, while an iPod connector is only available with the optional navigation system.

Nice if this applies to Australian models!!

VW Tig MY11 changes

Hi, I am planning to buy Tiguan 125TSI and learnt that VW is about to introduce a new MY11 model..
What changes are they going to make in the newer one (I have heard DSG, New Steering, Park assist as standard, Comfort pack as standard). Please advise.. and also will there be a price hike..

Went to Camberwell VW last Saturday and spoke to one of the sales guys. He told me the MY11 build will start from wk 27 only. He also confirmed that the new climate control and voice command on RNS510 are already available on the models arriving since a couple of weeks. But according to him, the new steering wheel and DSG will only be available for MY11.
Believe it or not I forgot to ask about the keyless entry. Dumm!!! :-@

Anyone who receives a Tig within the next days please update us!!!

Nope no VW sat nav or any other options.
Chose the aftermarket route to save money on both the unit and the map updates.

The voice command is just a firmware update for the VW units i believe.
I believe it's firmware update 1220 that allows this on older versions.


The problem with comparing our updates with the ones form North America is that the model lineup and options are completely different.
I.e. they don't get the self park feature that we do, they also don't use the RCD310 as a base stereo (i believe it's now the RCD315).

Would be interesting to see keyless entry as i belive there was talk of the golf6/GolfR getting it in MY11 models.

Just received a reply from the dealer. No keyless entry available as yet.

Well, lets wait and see... 30th of October seems so far away....

China domestic market Tig's are not a valid comparison for the rest of the world as their model is made in China and is completely different.
I believe they even have the option of a 7 seat Tiguan there.
Note the "boxy" front end areas (foglight surround, lower grill etc)

They also import wolfsburg produced Tig's but apparently they are a lot more expensive so most people buy the CDM ones.


Best bet would be to contact a dealeraround end June to find out if they know.
