Just bought my first VW. Black demo 2009 Passat V6 4-motion with 18" wheels, tint, sunroof, Sat Nav, Park Assist. Had many BMWs etc and love German made autos. Think I got a great price and close to $20K off the new price.

Pic coming in a couple of weeks. I pick up the car on Monday 12/4. Then a nice drive from Melbourne to the Whitsundays. One of the best test drives I would suggest. Will post pics when I get it back.

        Congrats on the purchase!!!

Gees that is going to be an epic drive! Haven't considered having the car shipped up?

The highway from Sunshine Coast north is absolutely terrible!!

I purchased my R in Mackay and drove it back 2 weeks ago. Can't say I'm in a rush to do that drive again.

Becareful of mobile unmarked radars too

Bought it down in Melbourne due to the overall value of the car taking into account milage, options fitted, condition etc, and of course price. Been eeping an eye on the market for a while now.

Looked into having it trucked up. Quotes were between $1,00 and $1,400. I also need to work in Canberra, Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane so it saves another trip and all the plane fares.

Will keep a look out for the cameras. I have previously lost my license due to running out of points so are far more careful these days.

I am also sort of aware of the road conditions as I have driven this road several times in the past. Will just be taking it easy.

          Cheers,
