Hey all, I'm not much on introductions but seeing as I've been forced to...here's at least what I have and why I'm here.
My car is a 2007 Golf GT TDi. Its had a DPF delete and ECU performance tune [flash?] only to get the car to run with the emissions delete. The guy I purchased it off used to race a methanol super saloon and is fastidious on his work. So he had owned the car most of its life and ironed out most of the niggly BMM bugs.
I purchased this with the intent of letting my 17 year old son use it after he wrecked a BMF mazda I brought him, by doing skids. That &%^& me off, as I am not rich, and saw he was wrecking the front tyres. I told him they are not strong cars and he would toast it, a few weeks later the gearbox was stuffed. Im not so young any more any didnt want the hassle of a gearbox change, and sold it [probably a mistake].
Soooo.....enters the GT. He's now broken that too, hence why i'm, here looking for answers hopefully
