SA Mk5 Comfortline - handsfree head unit - car does have steering wheel butttons

I am after a head unit for my Comfortline for hands-free phone and music. It is for my daughters who have taken my beloved Golf.
I want a head unit that uses the buttons on the steering wheel. I have looked and looked and I am getting nowhere. Does anyone have a model or to know what to look for. Also what is the deal with microphone, do I typically need to run one up into the top area in the light cluster.
Save me - this is driving me mad.

Hi and welcome. This is what you want. You will have to option the steering wheel harness and the gateway upgrade to fit this into a Mk5 Golf.

Also an option for reverse camera if you want to add that for your daughters.

Hi. Following on from my other posts, anta has delivered the VW 6.5" RCD330 Plus 6RD035187B (No Name) Radio for VW Golf MK5 MK6 Scirocco R Tiguan Passat Polo Caddy and the Steering Wheel Adapter Harness (MK5) and the VW Canbus Gateway - 7N0907530AJ for the 2007 Mk5 Golf.

Looking for advice or direct help on programming the Gateway. In Adelaide (Semaphore).

I am somewhat open to buying OBDII programmer but don’t want to spend more than I have to.
Help!
