Hi and welcome. Diesel or petrol Tiguan? If diesel then fair enough, if petrol then you are one lucky bugger to not have had any mechanical issues in 16 years.
The failing headlining is very common on the VW's and seems that cars parked outside in the heat fail more quickly as the foam backing deterorates and then the glue fails and caused the material to fall away and sag.

My Tiguan is now 16 years old and has had no mechanical problems. The headlining was replaced about 10 years ago.
