Depends on whether you have the manual or the DSG really. For both, regular servicing is key, the EA888.3 is a great engine and provided servicing is done when requried can go a long time. Brake discs are soft and pads are dusty (and soft) so after 40-50K km both will need replacing.Originally posted by tortoise View PostAnything in particular I should look out for preventative maintenance wise?
Clutch in the manual copes well and should last; if you tune the car, the clutch will wear quicker, the manual gearbox itself is strong and smooth. If it is the DSG, trouble could be around the corner at any time. Best to do the fluid changes in that regularly (say every 60K km) even though VW says its non-servicable. The DQ200 DSG is prone to failure ... guaranteed to happen at some point.Current: 2023 MY23 T-Roc R Lapiz Blue + Beats Audio + Black pack 2018 MY19 Golf R manual Lapiz Blue + DAP) 2014 Amarok TSI Red (tuned over 200kw + lots of extras) 2013 Up! manual Red 2017 Polo GTI manual Black Previous VWs and some others ...
