Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • QLD Polo ABS and Traction Control Lights

Hi all, I have a Polo 66TSI (2016) and there are a number of lights on the dash including the ABS and Traction Control Lights, I purchased a code reader (Mechpro T49 Auto Code Reader) today and it says there are no error codes. Anyone have any advice? I was thinking it could possibly be an ABS sensor but I thought I would get a code on my reader.
    Thanks in advance.

Are they expensive? I googled the OBDELEVEN one, it says $259, is that right?

Carista dongle is about $65 incl shipping and 1 month free of the premium app.

As far as scanners go its : VCDS > OB11 > Carista > the rest. The better it is the more it costs I'm afraid.

VW Service depts at times could not find their own bottoms with both hands .... better to take it to VW specialist. Costs less and you will get an actually qualified mechanic working on the car.
