Hi, Fellow VW Owners.
My Name is Bill and I live in Indented Head Victoria on the Bellarine Peninsula.
My car is a 2012 VW Passat Estate TDI
I discovered this site whilst trying to find information on a fault that has suddenly rendered the RNS510 from working other than Maps.
Sat Nav doesnt work and it wont let me input new addresses or show existing addresses.
All of a sudden for no reason the language on the unit reverted to the default German language.
I have tried to reset it back to English or Automatic, but the screen freezes and nothing happens. I have also tried to reset to factory settings with the same result.
The HD player doesnt work, but I can still see my saved music titles.
The radio is showing the radio stations but no sound.
The only thing that works is the bloody clock.
The part number is 1T0035680D
Hardware version H70
Software Version 4120
Maps Australia and NZ
Map Supplier Sensis
Map Version 8035.
I would appreciate any assistance I can get. its doing my head in
