Just brought my first Vw and my sat nav is way out of date.i have insomnia so read into all the map and firmware updates. Need some guidance in the right steps to follow as I don't want to brick my unit.

Is there somewhere to just buy the right .Disc to update my maps and firmware? Do I need to update my firmware to update the maps as I have no glitches and don't wish for any.??

No to the first and the latest map for it was $595 Pirate map software is frowned upon on here as Forum owners are held responsible for content

Make a DVD with the ISO in the thread that Hillbilly linked and update the unit; I would recommend hooking up a battery charger while it runs (Takes a while)
