Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    NSW Recently bought VW Golf, Jun 2008 Build

    Hello,

    My daughter and I have recently bought a VW Golf, June 2008 build. The badge on the back says 2.0 FSI Pacific.

    It's our first European car and we're very happy with it.

    I'm trying to keep maintenance costs down for my daughter as she is pretty much funding it herself.

    While showing her some basic things today like checking water levels etc I've realised there is a problem with the brakes.

    I will post about that in the next post. I hope I can learn more about this cars.
