  • 2015 Amarok

    Hi,

2015 Amarok, fast approaching 150,000km. I am starting to question some of the "lifetime fill" that VW tells me when I get my vehicle serviced, so looking to learn more from those in the know.

    Thanks

Hi and welcome. Yeah dont believe any of that "lifetime fill" nonsense. Definitely look into getting your transmission fluid drained and refilled as well as your diffs etc.

Assuming you have the 8 speed auto ZF transmission, ZF (the manufacturer of the transmission) state a service interval of between 80,000-120,000km or 8 years.

Cheers. Yes I have had the auto done at 120,000. I am starting to wonder about the diffs and transfer case. I will post into the Amarok section...

Yes definitely worth doing (and quite cheap and easy to do anyway - especially compared to the transmission service) with 150,000km's on the vehicle.
