Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    NSW Mk7 gti

    Hi guys, first post - or certainly first in years and years. Have owned a MK7 GTI for about 6 months, and just found this forum after hitting a pothole this evening destroying one of my rims - and googling 'aftermarket MK7 GTI wheels'.... at which point I found a super helpful thread on this forum with a bunch of options and decided I should sign up.

    Hey mate and welcome. There are many choices of aftermarket rims to suit the Golf platform, to get you started I suggest having a look at Mode Auto Concepts website - I recently purchased my rims from there and they have a decent range of nice quality wheels to choose from.

    I bought the Koya SF11 in gloss gunmetal grey and love them. (pics below) I have also owned my Mk7 GTI for about 6-7 months and the previous owner had ruined the factory rims, hence purchasing new ones.
