Hey guys newbie from California looking for some help from fellow VW fanatics. I just recently acquired a 2010 VW Tiguan 4motion which I love except for the automatic transmission my previous car was a mini Tiguan (08' VW GTI w/DSG) My question is would it be possible to swap out the auto transmission from the Tiguan and replace it with the DSG from a 2011 VW Golf-R? Since the R is also AWD I can assume it would be a perfect fit am I wrong in assuming this? Any input would be great. Thanks.

From what I know the Tig DSG box is from the Audi TTRS not sure about what box the golf R is. There would also be issues with wiring the mechatronic unit and engine ECU which would make it very financially prohibitive IMHO.
