GTD is a very special model. Not many of these ones around.
I think these are even more desirable as the Mk6 GTI’s all have dreaded timing chain issues.

Yes, definitely not as common as the GTI.
Has been a great reliable car for us but recently had some EGR issues surface... looking at some preventative mods.Comment

All the diesels like longer runs and not as well suited to short trips. Not sure what type of driving you do.

Yes we are not the ideal use case, mainly city driving, so have done pretty well with no major issues in ~10y.
Lots of useful info here so hopefully can learn more and put some prevention into action.Comment
