Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Hello 2 everyone

    Hello
my nickname is bytewarrior and i'm an german GTI VI owner/driver/pilot (?).
My GTI VI has some modifications / tuning at the engine and comes now with tested 321 hp and near 290 km/h / 180 mph top speed. He is weight reduced from 1.402 to 1.231 kg without loosing any sound, noise or driving comfort.

The painting is dark metal grey and is "decorated" like an construktion site vehicle with white/red reflection stripes and in front & back a plate with "Baustellenfahrzeug" on it.
Some people who made an test ride with me called it "the probably fastest construction site car ever".
German AUDI RS-drivers are often crying when my little car is busting her AUDIs because their cars are regulary speed limited to 250 km/h / 155 mph top speed.

After now 11 years driving this car im now starting to modify the interior, starting with the audio system based on an RNS 510 - old habbits may sleep, but never die ....

so on, lets have fun !

    best regards

    bytewarrior
