Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hi All,

Have had my Polo for just shy of a year now and I'd like to start doing some work to it. I'm not looking for blistering quarter miles or track days. I just enjoy working on my car.

    So yesterday i installed:

FORGE induction kit (Induction Kit for the 1.2 Tsi 2015 Onwards | FMINDK2 | Forge Motorsport)

and FORGE dump valve (Dump valve for the 1.2 and 1.4 TSI engine 2015-on | FMDV1 | Forge Motorsport).

Now I'd like to install a boost guage in the right hand side air vent. I've seen an OSIR vent mount (OSIR - O-Pod Mono Vent Pod - RHD - VW Mk6) for a 56mm boost gauge but only for the Golf.

Does anyone know if the golf and polo air vents are the same spec?

    Cheers,

    Scott

You will love the Forge dump valve. Its brilliant and silly at the same time and sounds awesome. I have it on the 1.4TSI 110 Golf. Does nothing for performance, but makes you smile all the time. When I drive it, I make it vent all the time ....

Same with the intake, the little TSIs sounds awesome with a growl to it.

Yeh my thoughts too, not too worried about the performance but the bov is fun and the growl from the induction is nice. I would like to make a box for the intake so its actually a CAI rather than just sucking hot engine air.
