Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • WA New to VWs

    Hi all,

Looking at getting a Tiguan and though why not jump on a forum with plenty of helpful information and feedback.

I am not sure what model I should get in the 2010-2014 range. Decided a petrol turbo would be the go but am not sure of all the model differences? 132tsi, 147tsi and 155tsi?

Having a 350rwkw barra ute I'm still keen on getting decent reliable power without compromising reliability and comfort.

    Cheers,
    Andre

Hi Andre and welcome to the forum. Consider the TDI as well, cause you’re buying a secondhand and the reliability of the petrol turbo (TSI) engine is just not there. The TDI is much more reliable than the TSI and responds to tuning very well.
