Hi guys new forum member here.
Proud owner of a mk6 golf gti, love my golf but just been hit with a big quote to repair an oil leak.

If you're getting the oil leak looked at, make sure to check the water pump and timing chain tensioner.

Both super common faults, oil leaks onto the waterpump gasket so its known to go to ****.

And the timing chain tensioner is a big one, depending on your model year it could be the older revision which is prone to let go causing 10k plus worth of engine repairs. Lots of info in the forums about it so have a read through.
