Hi All. Looking forward to sharing in this community.

First time VW owner a couple of weeks ago (MY16 Scirocco R) but helpless tinkerer.

Currently looking at
> Whiteline suspension kit (including anti-lif kit)
> Stage 1 tune
> Brake pad upgrade
> Front speaker upgrades

And it's a slippery slope from there...

As long as you know what you're getting into that's fine.

Scirocco's are great cars. I'd recommend the SuperPro alloy lower control arms which includes the ALK to help things stay a bit more planted up front. Also you'll get good (traction) gains from a decent set of front tyres which becomes almost essential once you go stage 1.
