I,m picking up my first VW a 94 golf VR6 tomorrow, Drives great with plenty of power.has anyone heard of VOLKSPOWER in Burwood? and are they reputable? Where is the best place to source original and updated parts and what cars have compatible parts??

Welcome! Plenty of VR6 drivers around here willing to lend a hand.

German Auto Parts in New York: http://www.germanautoparts.com/
Even after shipping the prices are much much less than you would be paying buying from VW in Australia.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

      Hey mick welcome.

I live pretty close to Volkspower (few mins away) and I've had a few dealing with Dean there. He's pretty good, know's his stuff, but he's blunt and straight to the point.

Make sure you get some pics of your Golf up ASAP!

Thanx Jarred, great to know about Volkspower far better than to drive to camberfield for a good vw Tech. I,m still waiting for rwc on golf, it needed a new engine mount, 2 tyres and a parking light and its taking ages, must be waiting on engine mount! Bonnet needs respray sometime and rest just a good polish. So i,m still waiting on a call from the seller. I,ll have some pics up as soon as its in my name and been cleaned up a bit. Cant wait, hope shes a good car!

G'day mate and welcome. It's true about GAP. I got both my front rotors for the R from them for 80 odd dollars less than what VW Australia wanted for one (including shipping). Even after I got them both slotted it came to about the same price for one.
Have fun and enjoy the six cylinder goodness.
                  Cheers,
