Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • QLD New Amarok on order, this one V6 Highline, replacing 2.ltr Manual

Look forward to picking up some good info here.
Only thing that has me perplexed are some negative comments elsewhere about the V6 reverse gear. I tow a pop top van. I need to push it back up a slight slope into its parking space. Do I have anything to worry about.

Look forward to hearing back from you.

Hi Roklover. I had the 2ltr rok and upgraded to the V6 ultimate. You'll love the extra power. I tow a large 23 foot caravan and I overtake people going up large hills. They are just incredible. I've had no problems with my reverse gear or any problems on the car full stop. I've done nearly 40k in just 12 months. Cheers Steve
