Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NSW 20x10's

Hi Guys - New VIRGIN VW owner.
Just purchase 2018 Tiguan R line - Love it to bits... Of course She is not destined to remain stock for long..
First mods will be the wheels and I have questions.
Standard are 20x8.5's - There is a lot of space in the guards to accommodate 275 tyres I think on 20x10 wheels. at least on the back anyway.
    My question is....
Will I need an Engineering cert to go to 20x10 in NSW ? - online says that the wheel track can not exceed 25mm from largest option from manufacturer.
I did notice that people have gone to that size and hope they can confirm..
anyway thanks in advance for your feedback
Working...
