There's a few MK1 owners in Canberra, most of us are building up our cars but there are a couple on the road.
I recommend starting a thread in the MK1 section so if there's anything you need we can reply there.

PS. The VW Nationals are on in Sydney 26 and 27 May. Nowhere near as many cars as you get at UK car shows but a good day out for VW lovers and a chance to talk to other MK1 owners. Supersprint is on the 26th, show-n-shine the 27th.
