Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NSW whoops. 2nd post :P MY POLO ROLLED DOWN A HILL!

Hey everyone, abit of click bait but do read on for the painful crash!

My first VW was a manual 2003 Blue polo that I picked up off a mate for $4k 3 years ago in 2015.
It was a great fun beat around until the handbrake gave out and I had unluckily forgot to put it into gear 1.
It rolled down my steep drive way and crashed into the fence .

I didnt have enough money to repair it at the time so I scrapped it. Here's a video of the crash for those who want to laugh at my pain:

I then moved onto a very reliable 2008 toyota yaris that I still have and love but Ive always wanted a sports car my whole life. Finally the time has come and I am now a very lucky owner of a Indium grey Golf Gti mk7.5

Say hi to "The German" . I picked her up for $51k drive away with DSG and all the options.
I wasn't to sure about her at first as I was cross shopping between the Type R,Focus Rs and i30n but she is growing on me the more I drive her

I hope to learn alot from you guys as I would like to start modifying and tuning and I look forward to connecting with people through the love of cars.

Ps. I pray to the car gods that the Gti wont have as bad of a luck as the blue Polo!

    Peace!
