i kinda slept in, and with the traffic from the airshow i only got 2 hours of the day in unfortunately so didnt get to see that much! however saw a nice c17, few jets, c130 as well on way back so cant complain.. damn that traffic!

was bleeming 33 out there, you could definately feel the heat! great turn out again!

more watercooled cars then last year! i dont think my gti would of liked that heat to much lol...

Well I made it back to where I am staying in Queensland . I had a good day , was a bit hot but wasnt too bad . Better turnout this year , although still small compared to air cooled crowd . The Seats been running great all weekend and still is powering along without a single mishap so far . I didnt need to bring that spare g/box and driveshaft after all . My best time was a 10.4 and worst was a 10.6 when I left the a/c on . 8 cars in total for the watercooled class , I think there were about 74 entrants all up which kinda shows watercooled cars are still being dwarfed by air cooled cars , and 3 of the 8 drivers were female in our class , so I guess us guys had little chance cause its proven fact that females are better at reaction times than males ! Hopefully next year some more guys from Queensland will turn up ! I make the effort every year to drive up from Sydney and support what really is the only VW only motorsport event in Australia . Next stop is Portland , 12 hours drive , I think I might just tow the car for this one and fly , Im beginning to loath driving for 10+ hours before I race !

We showed up early sunday morning, past a blue series 4 R32 in the mountain range parked on the side of the road.
Had a great day but dam we will be taking our own shad next year.

some great shots guys hope to have all my pix up by Friday night brought some professional shots from the photographers that where at the track, i agree with bug_racer, theres alot of modified waterpumpers out there and i think alot of the guys on here missed out on a great event im already planning next year!! id love to make it to portland!!!!!!!!
