I can't recall if you had a few non-VW ring ins last time, but if you need numbers a bloke at work here is dipping his toe into mods (partially thanks to me and my former GTI) and is doing a tune and exhaust on his 2010 WRX; assuming it doesn't clash with his football he'd be keen to pop out and have a run to see what the outcome is. No dramas if not, but might provide an interesting contrast to the VWs especially given the discussions in the last day or so on the new Rex in the mk7 area.

And you're not going to enter your GTI??? Shouldn't it be run in by then??

Fair enough, no problems.

I could be - I guess I won't really know delivery until the boat docks and get a better idea then. The public holidays might get in the way in the latter half of April as well.

Besides, a stock GTI is a stock GTI.

Although a wheel change could occur down the track if I get bored - a good set of wheels adds 5kW so I guess that's something to check on.

I'm definitely in with my Polo GTI, 5 minute drive away from our house. No baseline before my mods. unfortunately but looking forward to it. Anyone seen a stock Polo GTI 6R kw figure, at wheels? I realise it varies between dynos, temperature etc.

The best thing about these dyno days is you get to see the results of a whole bunch of cars under near to the same conditions on the same dyno.

You'll have to see if you can get another stock Polo GTI along or perhaps another 1.4 twin charger as a bit of a reference.

Yeah no problems. Giving people advance warning so you can all get your mods completed by the event.... or run it stock so you have a baseline for future work
