ACT Sunday 06 April 2014 - VW Drive For The Community

There is a new local event being run on Sunday 06 April, being a VW Drive for the Community. This event is raising money for the Canberra Hospital Foundation.

They are running a cruise from Thoroughbred Park to Anzac Parade, and back, followed by an 'after party' with entertainment for the whole family. They are after Volkswagens – new and old – to register for the cruise and be a part of a VW cruise through town. The first entrants will drive under a police escort!

They are raffling off a trip to Germany (5 nights) which includes a visit to the VW museum, and there are other prizes. Each entrant will get a ticket in this raffle, and I am told there will be other merchandise that goes to the entrants.

This would be a great event and will support a worthy charity. Spread the word around! Interstate entrants are more than welcome.

Sunday 06 April – check your calendar, and if you can swing the time, please consider entering the event and helping the Canberra Hospital Foundation.

I'd love to go but the $100 is too steep at the moment with all the bills I've got. Any chance of going out to Thoroughbred Park afterwards to look at the cars?

Got our tickets today. Doing the VIP run.
The organisers said they had over 150 registered so far, and they are expecting over 200 by Sunday.
