Mine will be in and it's not the tidiest example around. It's all about being in the Dub spirit!

Hoping to make the Club VW meeting this month, paid my money last week, so when then confirm it I will be a member again.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

That's what it's all about really. If my car still hasn't been repaired by that time, I would still enter it (but it will be, don't worry )

Bubu, there are judgings for stock cars in each category. I'm sure you will get by with tints, but if you have a stunning example, you can take the cake!

I'm really looking forward to coming up - it'll be great to put some faces/cars to forum names I'm not sure of where to stay, though... I don't mind roughing it at all, but want my car to be secure. I've even considered sleeping in it and showering at the beach in the morning. My girlfriend won't like this idea, though

My trip up is going to cost a fortune already. It'd be nice to damage the credit card with a decent hotel with secure parking, but dunno if I wanna stretch it that far...

Stu some people have already offered thier back yards as a camping ground/parking lot, they should be secure, although not undercover. good way to save a few quid.

one of them was me. i live on a double block and have a 2m high fence (cant see through or over it) around my yard. you're welcome to stick your car and a tent there, just let me know a couple weeks in advance if thats what you wanna do. i would offer you a bed/room except theyre all taken lol.

Checkout lastminute.com.au mate. A nice swanky hotel in the city will probably cost you $200 with secure parking. Spoil the Mrs

There isn't much to doubt that either. May is the season for absolutely nothing so prices shouldn't be high at all (I suppose in comparison to "peak" seasons).

Yep, lastminute and wotif are great I've had them lose my reservations a few times, but it's worth the gamble for the price saving

Thanks for the backyard offer - it's possibly the go - but I'll suss out the options closer to the event. It depends how I get the car up there too

just got back from the clubvw meeting with loon... all planning is going well. we will have undercover parking for our cars ,as long as you turn up early enough so we can get catagorised parking,mk1 together,mk2,mk3,mk4 etc etc..... if you come late ,like some last year, parking with the watercooled undercovered cannot be guaranteed and judging against your peers will be not in your favour.

so if you are serious, prebook& PAY! and turn up EARLY!!!
