Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Feel free to bring that along instead of the R8 if you want, it is euro and you are a forum member.

Obviously i am partial to the R8 but it's up to you, just let me know what you'll be bringing so i can update the list.

                  • Why "obviously"? Slk55 AMG is a pretty cool guy. Lol

Anyway, thanks though. I'll let you know when I decide which!

I could put you on the reserve list given the main list is full.
This would mean you get priority for the next event.

To be honest i don't think you will get a chance to go on track this weekend unless you can ask someone on the list if you can ride shotgun with them.

given this is happy laps and not a timed sprint event your polo should be fine so long as you stick to the rules and let the faster cars go past on the straight.

I just took my MY08 Polo TDI to happy laps at Queensland Raceway and had a great time! So you should be all right

That would be great! Don't have a lot of free time on the weekends, so that would be great! Thx!

Looking forward to having a run, even if it's not this weekend.

Unfortunately I need to forfeit my position in this months happy laps due to brake troubles.

                              Regards,
                              Casey

                              • 4 days to go!!

Let's hope no one drives like a 'courteous' typical falcodore driver (who only goes fast straight but takes corners like a ******).

Keep the pace and gaps safe, follow the RULES, let a car that has been on your tail throughout the corners pass on the long straight and DONT treat the long straight like a 1/4 mile if that car is about to overtake the slow cornering driver (willowbank test n tune will be more suitable and safer for if u prefer going fast straight only).

Make sure your car is more than roadworthy too.
