Sorry, but I feel the need to comment again. Dylan, if you were in an unfamiliar car during one of your first happy laps, it's not on to brake mid-Kink or mid-Hungry with a happy laps veteran behind you in a car with which he is very familiar. Move over, let him pass and test out your car without someone behind you. It's just courtesy.

As a general comment, everyone defends their actions by saying "it is happy laps after all" or "remember it's happy laps". Sorry, but that's not an excuse. There are still rules of decorum and there is accountability. If it's not common sense, then these things just need to be enforced. Otherwise, they'll keep happening. Just my 2 cents. I'll shut up now.

My car does burn a bit of oil at the track which is a typical TSI PCV oil thing.
The more grip you have (bigger G’s) the worse it gets, just gotta watch out for that oil starvation problem.
Need the APR OPS auxiliary sump to save any damage. APR Oil Protection System (OPS)
I've switched to a thicker oil Motul 20W60 which should help. Guy Hardings Cayman does the same thing apparently, so do most EVO 10’s when running 0-40 or similar oils.

Yup I've heard the TSI's problem is oil; the FSI's is fuel.

I think Al stayed behind the R8 on purpose, stimulated by the V8 sound and drolled all over his wheel and seat

I was exaggerating a wee bit....i had taken out my spare which probably helped the acoustics

Is it just me or after every happy laps is there a bunch of whining about someone who slowed someone down. Sounds like some of you take this way too seriously, it's happy laps. Chill out

Happy is subjective. That's the problem. Everyone perceives this thing called happy laps differently.
