Yep, that'd be me before I learned how to launch. PROTIP: launch control makes it worse. As you can see, it just bogs and shudders and goes nowhere.

Wolfy, were you 586 in that video, because I can't find a timeslip with that number on it (and I have them all).

You know what helps with launching? A manual transmission. Just sayin'...(yes, they can be ordered in manual)

I DO have a manual transmission, technically. It just doesn't have a clutch pedal.
Not to get into THAT old debate, but I'd NEVER buy a modern "performance" oriented car that is crippled by a stick-shift...I'm just not that in love with rowing through gears. Not enough to take the corresponding performance hit anyway.
The LC launches at 5k which is just too high to dump the clutch on a prepared surface. When it dumps the clutch the car just goes spac. My best results have been launching at about 2k, which netted a 12.91. Still not perfect though.
I may have been a different number in that vid.

Actually, Eggy, my clutch has held up surprisingly well. We're still friends. 30k and going strong...

Well i will put you on the reserve list but you are likely going to have to wait until September since we don't usually get a big bunch of withdrawals on the weekend of the laps.
