Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

      The events are on fixed days - first Sunday of each even month (Feb, April, June, August, Oct, Dec) for cruises and first Wed of odd months for a coffee night. So you can lock these into your calendar in advance.

        I know this is a bit of a side note, but at one of the last coffee meets someone was saying there was a guy from Vic that could get well priced tyres. Anyone remember that? Or know the guys info??

            The guy that was doing some great deals on Goodyear tyres was Rubal at Goodyear Croydon.

            Though do remember that some of these deals were during the 4 for the price of 3 sales being run a little while back.

            Pricing may not be quite as hot now but depending on what size you're after I know there are still some pretty good deal to be had.

              Rubal, Goodyear Croydon. Check the wheels/suspension area, Damien has the info there.

                Now the next coffee night is only a week or so away and we need a venue where ideally we don't get rained on going from the carpark to the café... perhaps something with/near an undercover carpark???

                Suggestions anyone??

                  Hmm, undercover you say?

                  How about we meet at the Burnside Village carpark (entrance here off Sydney Street) - could be awesome for evening photos too - and walk across the road to Grimaldi's (a great cafe) or else Bracegirdles?

                  Edit: The carpark is open until 9:30, so we'd need to make sure we're out by then.

                          Damien won't be able to make this one due to a work trip, and now I'm not sure I can make it either.

                          Depending on how many can make it, let's make a decision about whether to defer this one. Or not, if Phil and Rhys are happy to make it a potentially 2-man party.

                                Yes you'd think I'd be able to organise my own work trips a little better. It's just the way things have lined up that this is the only week I can get away.

                                We could shift it a week but there's always going to be someone that can't make it. Also next couple of weeks are school holidays (whether that makes a difference for anyone).
