Bummed I couldn't make this one, but on a positive note, looks like a small chance the mk1 might make the next cruise, if all goes to plan

Only a handful of cars showed. we broke away at birdwood mill to check out another cruise that was meeting there.
I feel like I have vertigo from the run back home, took all the twists. My ears are ringing and head spinning. Need to look into being able to open/ close the flapper from in the cab. She's a little loud.

Was a good little cruise for me as had to go back home from lobe s had other stuff that had to do this arvo. I look forward to the next one.
On a side note might be good to let people know that the Taylor blend cafe is cash only.... Lucky I was there a little earlier.Comment

I counted I think 9 cars at its peak? I was surprised with that turnout. The cruise to Lobethal was crap, raining, lots of traffic splitting us up, slow pace. I very nearly called it quits and bailed from Lobethal, glad I didn't because the rest of the cruise was golden! Traffic and weather cleared up, went on some new roads I've never been on before, and I won't post the screenshot from my dash cam but on a long open straight stretch in the middle of nowhere on the way out to Angaston I got faster than I've ever been before and then some! Jakey, My father in law is in love with your wagon. He's looking at a merc wagon at the moment but is going to take a passat for a ride after seeing yours on the weekend. My ears are still ringing. Need to work out how I can close the flapper from in the cab.

Haha wow that's a great compliment, tell him thanks so much! I can't say if the Passat is better or not as I didn't try any Merc wagons, but I can say I am loving it. I have pretty much no complaints, it is fast, surprisingly comfortable, extremely well equipped for the money, looks fantastic, yeah it's awesome! And for reference, mine with average tyres on launch control will do a 0-100 in 5.5 seconds timed with a camera, not the officially quoted 5.8.
