Yeah I'm down for a meet, I think I prefer Newmarket to the place the last few have been at, although it is nice to change it up.

Does anyone know of a nicely lit outdoor place we could have the meet maybe? Might be nice to have one that's not in an underground carpark for a change while it's nice weather outside. Just a thought. Could get a BBQ going or something maybe and it would just make for an awesome atmosphere. Maybe not for this meet, but if someone was to organise one like that down the track I'd be happy to help out

We used to go to Northshore Riverside Park at Hamilton but they are building units donw there now and i don't know if it is accesible.
Was good as it had the park and you could just bring an esky and walk around to see some nice cars.

how many do you usually get? the park at the end of kangaroo point, Captain Burke, has some good bbq areas, a reasonable amount of car parking and is a nice sport near the river, not so good at night but if you're planning a weekend cruise it might be an ok spot

No barbeques but the parking area for the Brisbane Tennis Centre off King Arthur Terrace is rarely ever used and is fairly well lit.

Alternatively, there is the Victoria Park area at 400 Gregory Terrace or College Cls at Roma Street Parklands

The college close at Roma Street Parklands looks nice, I'm thinking we should have it there. It would be nice to be outside for a change too. So unless it is raining, we should meet here. I'll update the official thread once it is up and on the day depending on the weather as to whether or not it will be held here or back at Newmarket.

Might need to check if we have to pay for parking to get in/out of Roma Street before we slot that one in.

Alright, I went for a scout drive to a few of the locations. Parklands was a bit hard to get in and out of - bit confusing and there was a boom-gate setup for the carpark although it was free of charge for the weekend. Gregory terrace was pretty good except for it being fairly limiting for space if it gets busy which is a possibility for restaurants etc in the area.

I also went to the Brisbane Tennis Centre visitor carpark and thought that it was the best location as it was easy to get to and as far as I know there aren't any events on at the moment and there shouldn't be many, if any, other cars in there.

Now I need to start an official thread!
