All the people on the first part of the list are ones who gave up their spot willingly so that others could have a go in January.

I have put you on the list for our February session.

Just making sure everyone is aware.

Lakeside is getting more and more popular.
Our February session was the only date available so i locked it in for the group.

I am going to see what is involved in having a double session like the downshift guys do at QR (i.e. we get 60 minutes instead of 30 so we could split the group up or involve 40 cars and have 20 out for each half).
Alternatively we could look at a more frequent event but it's hard enough trying to juggle one per month while having work, family and other commitments and with Redline no longer organising QR on the alternate month it's up to me to schedule us in every few weeks.

put me on the reserve list please Clay

                        Thx!

Hopefully there won't be too much traffic this time. The December one was the best, everyone was evenly spaced.

Clay, firstly we all appreciate the work that goes on behind the scenes. Is there a minimum number for each event based on the $25 fee? Personally, I do like the idea of a less traffic, so maybe a split group is feasible. Just a thought, could there be less traffic over two sessions by paying slightly more? Or did u pretty much just suggest that.

Machine, I think your the man for QR.

It's okay, i understand where everyone is coming from.
We all like to have a bit of fun and if i could, i would organise one for every 3rd week but i just don't have that option at the moment.

We have to hit 30 people for catering according to the people at Lakeside.
We usually average 34 when we have 25 cars (9 passengers also eating).

I am going to get in contact with the people at Lakeside tomorrow and see if they do have the option to do a double session like the Downshift guys did (pay $50 and get 2 x 30 minute sessions so we can get it down to 15 -20 cars on the track and spread out a bit more for similar speeds.)

Will update when i find out more info.

December was the best one i think we have done, but to be fair we have to let everyone have a go if they want so we will always end up with a few slower cars as people get out and learn the course and their limits.
If i had known about the S-Cargo i would have had a chat to the driver and suggest they passenger with a more capable car instead.

the 'traffic' some referred to was because there were a few newbies who stayed fast on the straight and took a bit long to realise that someone was being held behind him.

in one of the clips I noted there was one car (that can do 1:01 on Lakeside timed lap) being held behind a gti and was finally let pass on the second lap.

back in december when i drove my slow car, whenever there was a car behind me on the back corners and i knew it could go a lot faster, i slowed down on the long straight asap and let him pass instead of having a go another lap and holding him back. this way everyone can have more clean laps and it is the best track etiquette too!

so it was not because of the number of cars I believe..

and yeah, there was a moving 'witch hat' aka the S-Cargo... it's good and fair to let everyone have a go, but a consideration for others is also as important

That is where the double session would come in handy as you could have all the known quick cars (Integra, APR's Mk6, Nat's car, Lotus etc) all playing together and then have another session for the "slower" cars and new people (my car, stock gti's etc)
