Thanks Clay for the organisation and to all the photo and video takers. Need to get a phone mount sorted before the next one for some vid of my own.

Heres some pretty ordinary video from the iphone. It's been shrunk down twice which is partially why the picture quality is awful, in future I won't shrink the file resolution, but was mostly playing around with racerender to get the overlay, than into windows moviemaker to join 2 rendered files.

Please ignore any commentary if it can be heard, my bad.

I got a good tow on lap 10, topped out at 174kph.


I have used CMS laptimer to provide GPS data (not the stuff above), but have found 1hz processing from the phone to not be accurate for speed. CMS isn't the most user friendly, but if you want some basic telemetry it adds to the amusement. I downloaded it for 99c from itunes store.

Some observations from the spectator video:

Jeez that Honda is loud, you get doppler happening for like 10 seconds after it leaves the screen.

2:43 APR's GTI sounds like a fighter jet and spins third on the straight.
2:57 and 5:40 and 7:10 some dangerous overtaking on the corner, driver has already been spoken to about this, i don't want it happening again.

Now that iv got a little more time to write something ill give some feed back on the day. Awsome A++++++ for such a cool morning. Good people, awsome track, very well priced and lovely weather.
You guys are so lucky to have such easy access to a simple track day.
In Melbourne to do a track day we need:
- Cams or AASA licence $90
- Club memebership $60-$200
- Helmet $50-$1000
- Entry $120-$300
You guys only pay $25 and get breakfast Awsome.

So what ever you do dont wreck the day. I heard the staff say these are happy laps, not a sprint meeting. So take it easy.

A few of you have very fast cars and want to go fast (who doesnt) so maybe step it up a notch and do some sprints. I stayed around to the sprint meeting, many people had road going cars but were stepping it up with helmet, fire extinguisher and full sleves.

Keep happy laps fun guys.

Maybe it's something you can bring up with the VIC based tracks if you stay down that way.

Haha, well he is a bit of a chicken on the race-track . No worries about the photos/videos. Dad is getting practice at these for Rally Australia in September.

Did I see a van go past in that second video?
