        • email reply again about side by side cabins and deals

          Hi Dominic,

At this stage I have a lot of cabins available, so the possibility for the cabins to be side by side is highly possible.

The possible offer I can provide is free linen hire for all the beds needed.

          Regards,

          Regina

          • Any update's on this.

Really looking forward to this not only the Nat's but the road trip too!

I'm thinking along the line's of staying at F1 Hotel.

Very close to the Nat's (Less than 20min's/10km's away) & also right as the end of the Hume Hwy which mean's no fighting any traffic.

            I hate traffic

Also 20 min's away from Loon's place too!

I live in Casula, the F1 Casula is about 10~15mins from the showgrounds!

Its $69 for a 2 (possibly 3) bed tiny room and there is plenty of parking.

                • I'll probably be camping to some degree. when i get a chance, either this weekend or over easter, I'll look some more at that caravan park, and see what I can do, otherwise I'll have to take up the backyard offer from mischa.

                  • Well the way I see it if I was taking a mk1 worst case scenario it's going to cost at least $250 in fuel ($100 each way & alittle to get around!)

Will be cheaper in the Audi for sure. Maybe cost $180-200.

$140+ for accomodation(without sharing. Obviously cheaper sharing) + food & drink for 4 day's of travel.

For the sake of $70 a night accomodation, I think I'll stay in a hotel that's very easy to get to & don't have to travel all over Sydney, plenty of parking, not too far away from the showground's & close to some pub's.

It's also not too far away from Western Sydney International Dragway! Hopefully there's something going on there as well.

Fairfield is about 20-30 minutes drive to WSID in Eastern Creek. They have "Wicked Wednesdays" where you can just bring your car along and go at it down the strip. Doesn't cost too much IIRC.
                      Past: Mk3 Golf 2L 8V, Audi 8L A3T.
                      Present: Mk3 Golf variant.

That's pretty much what I was banking on. + $50 bucks on food going up and back (expensive servo food prices etc) then plus about 70 or 80 bucks on food while I'm up there. SO yea. That's atleast $350 close to $400 including event costs.

So if I can save some money by camping, I'm up for that.

                          • A powered site at the Bass hill is $30 per night. That's the cheapest they have, and fit a caravan on them, so room should be enough for 4 or so peeps to tent it. that's 90 bucks for the accom for the weekend, and is splitable between people. so yea, cheap. I like this option - anyone else up for tenting??

actually, I've just had an Idea, does anyone in sydney have a caravan??
