I'd very much like to go to this and I think I am, and even more so have as many VW's in there as possible. The only reason why these "full hectic" cars are there and win these events is because NO ONE ELSE TURNS UP TO COMPETE....
These cars rock up is because these are the only enthusiasts that actually bother to enter their cars in events and shows, why so many of you are going against this is realy beyond me. If we have 5 or more cars parked in one area heck even 10, we will have shown every patron and entree that the VW tuning scene is significant and that people that own VW's actually give a crap about their cars.
Very rarely have I ever seen a large amount of watercooled dubs at any car show, why? Because either no one with a watercooled car has any interest in shows and their vehicles, or they don't want to be associated with "full hectic ule" people.
Just because you go to an event or participate doesn't mean that you have the same tastes or attitudes towards the cars or lifestyle.
VW watercooled and watercooled dubs have not reached critical mass in popularity yet, and by acting like this we never ever will, and we will be in outside primary tuning and enthusiasts circles for as long as these cars are registered in Australia...
Please, reconsider coming and entering this event because like me, these judges and patrons alike are dying for something new and different. And I believe our vehicles can deliver this!
So stop talking about how much your wheels cost, or burning out other peoples rides and turn up to the bloody event and show them all how fantastic and different the VW watercooled community is
